Berries for the Birds stump work was designed to encourage beginners to try their hand at stump work embroidery. This stump work kit is designed for a beginner who has some knowledge of embroidery stitches. Careful step by step instructions take the embroiderer through a number of techniques specific to stump work embroidery. If you are an embroiderer keen to learn about this form of 17th century embroidery, this contemporary piece will guide you through covering wires, needlelace techniques, and covering beads. N.B. Please note that threads and needles are NOT included in our Pattern & Prints. DESIGN SIZE: The design measures 7cm (3”) approx. CONTENTS: The pattern and print includes the design screened onto a high quality linen/cotton blend fabric, muslin for backing, instructions, photograph and stitch glossary necessary to complete the design. This design is also available as a Full Kit, or alternatively, on a Pincushion as a Full Kit or Pattern & Print. All of my pattern and prints are beautifully packaged in cellophane bags, making them very suitable as gifts.
