ECG – Bees’ Knees Scissor stand & needle minder Duo – Full kit

Description This sweet little scissor stand and needle minder set was designed back in 2019 for Beating about the Bush event in Australia, which unfortunately did not come to fruition due to Covid. It is designed to complement the designs in Lorna’s book – Embroidered Country Gardens. This now comes with a bespoke solid wood spool, hand turned for me by a local wood turner. BEGINNERS – INTERMEDIATE – it was designed with the view in mind of learning a number of stitches used in Lorna’s book. It was stitched to cover a 75mm wooden spool and uses a 38mm brass, magnetised button. DESIGN SIZE of the Needle minder: 38mm (1½”) in diameter. It can be worked in a 4” hoop. DESIGN SIZE of the Scissor stand: 11cm x 4.5cm (4¼” x 1¾”) and can be worked in a 15cm or 6” hoop/frame. KIT CONTENTS: Stof linen/cotton blend fabric with designs screen printed onto them, backing muslin, solid oak wooden spool, magnetised 38mm button, needles, 11 x skeins of Perle 12 hand dyed thread, Chameleon hand dyed stranded cotton for the edging, DMC cut lengths for flowers, mother of pearl button, bee pack, instructions, stitch glossary and colour photographs. You can also purchase the Scissor Stand, as a Full Kit or Pattern & Print, and the Needle Minder, as a Full Kit or Pattern & Print, separately.
