A: No,​ the Gen 3 does NOT pair with the Gen 2. Gen 3 features Party Mode, which allows users to pair an infinite number of Gen 3’s, Rangers, & Grandes together for an unbeatable surround sound experience (Party mode does NOT work with the Gen 2’s). Q: Can I connect multiple Original Gen 3 speakers? A: Yes, with Party Mode you can pair an infinite number of Original Gen 3s for an unbeatable surround sound experience. Or, with TWS (true wireless stereo), you can pair two Gen 3’s in classic Left/Right Stereo Mode. Q: Does the Original Gen 3 float? A: Yes, it floats! Q: Is the Original Gen 3 waterproof? A: Yes, the Original Gen 3 has an IP-67 Water Ingress Protection Rating meaning it’s completely waterproof (fresh & saltwater) and submersible up to the 3 feet for 30 minutes. Always keep the port cover closed around water. Do NOT allow your speaker to be exposed to any water or moisture while it is being charged or while it is plugged into a power outlet. Doing so can raise the risk of electric shock and also cause damage to your speaker. If the speaker is exposed to saltwater, wash it off with fresh water after use. Q: Can I charge my device through the Original? A: Yes! In order to charge your device using your Turtlebox you’ll need to have a USB-C compatible charger.
