This handmade pink necklace has been handmade by me in my Yorkshire Studio. The pendant has been made using a technique called lampwork, which is the method of melting glass to create miniture pieces of art! I made this pendant by winding hot melted glass around a steel rod, manipulating it and shaping it whilst in the flame. I first created an apricot coloured glass as a base before wrapping a silver rich reactive glass around it. I then heated the glass in an oxygen rich flame which brings the reaction to the surface, before doing a final wrap of clear glass. The result is an apricot pendant with a gorgeous metallic pink hue! The size of the pendant (not including the bail) is 34mm long. I’ve used sterling silver components including a mini belcher chain, all sourced from a UK reputable supplier. The length of the chain is 18in/45cm. Gift box included.
