Quick & Easy Ever Soft Scarf – Free Pattern

QUICK AND EASY EVER SOFT SCARF PATTERN Skill Level:  Beginner  Finished Size:  6 1/2 inches wide by 60 inches long without fringe. 6 ½ inches wide by 73 inches long with fringe  Materials Needed: Premier “Ever Soft” Multi (4) Medium weight 100% acrylic yarn, (207 yds/190 m/4 oz/ 113 g) per skein: 2 skeins color # 2061-09 Purple Mist or color of your choice Crochet Hook Size H-8 (5 mm) Note:  This pattern used almost every inch of yarn in both skeins with only about 5 inches left.  If you want to make the scarf wider, use the stitch multiple of 2 plus 3.  You will need to purchase additional yarn if making it larger. Gauge:  Working in pattern stitch; 15 dc and 9 rows = 4 inches. SCARF With Purple Mist, chain 29 Row 1:  Skip first 4 ch (counts as first dc plus 1 ch) work 2 dc in 5th ch from hook, * skip next ch, 2 dc in next ch *, rep from * to * across to last 2 ch, skip next ch, dc in last ch across. Rows 2 – 145:  Ch 2 (counts as first dc), work 2 dc in center of each 2 dc group across, working between the posts of the 2 dc groups, across to ending turning ch, dc in top of ending turning ch, turn.  End of Row 145, fasten off. FINISHING To leave Plain with No Fringe, weave in ends. To make an Infinity scarf.  Place right sides together, align first row with the last row and sl st across wrong side, working through both rows matching sts across.  Fasten off, weave in ends. To make with Fringe.  Cut 140 pieces of fringe 13 inches long, using 5 pieces held together, fold in half and knot fringe in center of each 2 dc group, and between first st and first 2 dc group, as well as between the last st and last 2 dc group across.
