Whether hot pressing or cold pressing should be used for peanut pressing?

Peanut oil is a easily digestible edible oil with yellowish, transparent and clear color, fragrant smell and delicious taste. Peanut oil contains more than 80% of unsaturated fatty acids (41.2% of oleic acid, 37.6% of linoleic acid). It also contains 19.9% of saturated fatty acids, like the palmitic acid, stearic acid and arachidic acid. At present, the peanut oil on the market can be divided into hot pressed peanut oil and cold pressed peanut oil. What is the difference between these two kinds of oil?

Currently, peanut oil on the market are basically produced by traditional method with high temperature (120℃). The raw peanuts are cooked in the pot and then pressed in the peanut oil press machine. Hot pressing has high oil yield and less residual oil, but the nutritional content of peanut itself are prone to be destroyed in the cleaning and high temperature processing process.

Cold pressed peanut oil

Cold pressed peanut oil is produced after selecting, low temperature drying, physical shelling after cooling with the purely physical extraction. In the entire production process, the temperature is lower than 60°C, so that the nutrition in peanut kernels can be completely remained and nutrients are not destroyed. It remains the original biological activity to a greater extent and keeps the natural flavor and color of the peanut. Cold pressed oil has light color without excessive internal heat.

In general, the cold pressing can remain the integrity of the nutritional content of peanut. Though some nutrients will be lost in hot pressing, but it has higher oil yield and more fragrant taste. Therefore, whether hot pressing or cold pressing is used can be determined by the taste of the local customers.
